Title: Senior Lead Artisan
Certifications: Certified Lead-Safe Renovator, CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) training
Summary: For 22 years Christian has honed his skills as a, carpenter, historic restoration specialist, project manager, and now lead artisan. Having studied art and ceramics in school, he likes to picture finished spaces that have aesthetic balance and grace. He enjoys working with trim and cabinetry in addition to ceramic tile to highlight the characteristics of a space. And, as an owner of a 112-year old building in a historic district, he appreciates the cultural and personal stories that grow in buildings. Christian says that he is motivated by the dedication, craftsmanship, and detailed work that quality building and restoration demand.
Experience: Growing up in a family of painters, Christian likes to say he learned construction backwards. He started painting finishes first, then learned to install drywall, then onto framing, ceramic tile, decks and siding. With this experience, he instinctively sees at each stage of construction what the project will look like when completed.
I’ve been painting since I could hold a paintbrush…”
More About Christian Anderson: Christian is particularly passionate about working with clients. A naturally inquisitive person who always looks to learn more, Christian enjoys the conversations with clients that surround the building of their custom projects. He likes the details. “It’s a natural extension of our design+build process,” he notes, since the collaboration among client, designers, and builders is at the core of Silent Rivers’ approach. Appreciating the partnerships he’s formed here, he loves that his work fully engages his intellectual and creative capabilities.
