A month afterward, we are still feeling the love and appreciation from those who attended the Silent Rivers 25th Anniversary and dsm Magazine Unveiling Party in the 6th Avenue Corridor. We are grateful for the connections that help us make an impact in this community, and especially for the inspiration people experience from these synergies!
What a beautiful experience it was to see the event’s deeper meaning take hold on everyone as they witnessed the power that art, culture and diversity have to connect and inspire people. On the evening of October 29, the courtyard of the gutted historical building at 1601 6th Avenue was a joyous gathering spot to hundreds immersing themselves in a creative atmosphere of inclusivity! This video by Hannah Wright sums up what it meant to the community…
Inspiration for the community
Dozens of artists, cultural ambassadors and vendors collaborated with Silent Rivers to create an incredible experience celebrating the rich diversity of this neighborhood. Bringing the community together fosters transformation and understanding that we are all connected.
The Silent Rivers dsm Magazine Unveiling event was such an energizing experience! It was incredible to take part in bringing this important historic building back to life for the evening and we look forward to it again serving as a community hub on the 6th Avenue Corridor once the rehabilitation is complete.
We’ve received so much positive feedback about the event. Neighborhood residents and stakeholders greatly appreciated the opportunity to showcase all our area has to offer.”

The comments on social media were outstandingly positive!
The immeasurable value of connection
The fact that it is our 25th anniversary was simply the impetus for creating a very special event. Sure, we could have made the event all about Silent Rivers and what we’ve accomplished in the last quarter century. Here’s the beautiful truth: The success of Silent Rivers is the result of connections made within our community that enable us to create inspiring spaces, and that leads to a more inspired community.
Silent Rivers knows that art and beauty, when part of our daily lives, help people to understand themselves and their higher purpose. Hosting an inclusive party celebrating 25 years of Silent Rivers connecting people to people, home, beauty, community and planet was really about honoring everyone who is a part of this journey while spreading the inspiration!
