Silent Rivers supports Des Moines’ Young Women’s Resource Center, a non-profit organization that supports, educates and advocates for young women ages 10-21.
On April 9, the YWRC celebrates its 17th Annual Sit On It! live and silent auction at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Iowa Events Center. The event features an auction with furniture and artwork donated by local artists and merchants, as well as ‘experience’ packages with proceeds going to benefit programs of the Young Women’s Resource Center. This year Silent Rivers is donating a bench made of stained Baltic birch plywood and curly maple.
Silent Rivers is supporting the Young Women’s Resource Center fundraiser Sit On It! by donating this beautiful custom designed bench with a Baltic birch plywood base and a curly maple top.
Each year at Sit On It!, a community leader is honored with the Louise Noun Visionary Woman award, and two Young Women’s Resource Center clients are recognized with the Woman of Worth award. Sit On It! is a community gathering full of food and one-of-a-kind items.
