DMAF Curated exhibit and creative experience
Silent Rivers thanks our 2018 DMAF Curated presenters for leading meaningful conversations on art and culture in the Creative Cafe space inside the Silent Rivers VIP Club. A big shout out to our collaborators and co-sponsors Mars Cafe and Des Moines Arts Festival for helping us bring together this creative experience!

Sustainability brilliance and an alluring garden
As stewards for sustainably, Silent Rivers is deeply engaged in Des Moines Arts Festival efforts to reduce waste. The VIP Club is intelligently designed and built with sustainable materials including repurposed wood, scrap product, old doors and a compressed paper material called Richlite. We even worked with the City of Des Moines to transform cut-down Ash trees into fencing that surrounds the VIP Club. This year’s VIP Club garden was created by Indigo Dawn, Country Landscapes and Allendan Seed Company and featured a sculpture by artist and Silent Rivers founder Chaden Halfhill.
Dancing for joy
We close with this delightful video of our founder and CEO Chaden Halfhill dancing with his son Cedar on Saturday night to the music of Spin Doctors on the HyVee Mainstage. Pure joy!
