Our clients wanted to build an addition onto their Urbandale home that included a sitting room, fireplace and a deck modification to the southeast corner where better climate control was needed. They desired to expand their seating and entertaining options both indoors and outdoors, while minimizing the impact on the existing landscape. They also requested we maintain the style of the current home.

A discussion with our clients about sustainable building practices led us to incorporate green solutions throughout the projects such as implementing passive solar strategies, improving indoor air quality and responsibly managing building materials.

Using such solutions maximizes the performance of their home. Building their home’s addition made way for an overall more sustainable home that maintains a comfortable indoor climate year-round.
