Our clients reached out to Silent Rivers knowing that they wanted a way to highlight their passion for woodworking and art glass. As veteran remodelers, the homeowners have been transforming their Craftsman-style home over the years. We were lucky enough to help by building a perfect solution to something they’ve been planning for years.
This Craftsman-style kitchen remodel includes custom-built cabinetry from hand-selected quartersawn white oak, built by our artisans in the Silent Rivers woodshop. Our team closely collaborated with this couple and completed this project with a stunning custom-built dining room table. The table was a surprise gift to the wife, with her husband involved in selecting the pieces of wood used for the table.

It’s so cliche to say that this beautiful table took my breath away, but literally that’s exactly what happened. We have spent the last several years planning our dream kitchen and dining room area. So with those two projects complete, I had resigned myself to waiting a couple more years for the perfect table that I’ve always imagined my family sharing holidays around. Having Silent Rivers design and build this table on the heels of designing and building our beautiful kitchen cabinetry was my wonderful husband’s idea to surprise me. So I didn’t have to wait for even one holiday to pass without a totally completed entertaining area. The minute I saw this table set up and shined to perfection, I immediately knew it was another masterpiece with Tom and Alex’s creativity integrated throughout. They even incorporated many of the same design elements they had used in the kitchen. Everyone we have worked with at Silent Rivers has taken the time to get to know us well. They didn’t just care about our satisfaction with their work, but they cared about us as people. And the feeling is extremely mutual.”
