In this bathroom remodel our clients initially just wanted a bigger shower and to increase the warmth of the bathroom by using richer finishes. When we saw the space we knew we could also give them better functioning his and her vanities. In the previous layout her vanity was completely separate, with a partial height wall in between them. We joined the vanities by creating a peninsula with back-to-back vanities separated by a suspended mirror. To increase the warmth in the room we helped our clients choose a floor tile which resembled a travertine tile. An accent tile was chosen for the shower that included natural marble, and the cabinetry was built with natural walnut. The colors were kept neutral to show off the natural wood grain.
