As with all of the other rooms in this new custom home, the homeowner desired its farmhouse-industrial style to continue throughout the kitchen space. We were able to use a mixture of materials and building techniques to transition the rooms seamlessly. Adding unique, well thought out touches keep the room aligned with the style of the rest of the house, yet serve double duty as they also provide function for the family.

A combination of both wood and metal was used throughout the space, with fun lighting fixtures, a wood-enclosed range hood and a unique dramatic backsplash adding distinctive layers. The kitchen area includes an easily accessed butler’s pantry to provide plentiful storage and culinary workspace for this family, and even incorporates salvaged wood from the homeowner’s parents’ barn.
